Offset’s Mother Confirms Why Takeoff Wasn’t Present During 2018 AMAs

While many were stunned as to how Rap/Hip-Hop group Migoswon an award for Best Pop/Rock group at the 2018 AMAs (American Music Awards), the other bubbling question was why wasn’t Takeoff on stage with Quavo and Offset during the acceptance speech?

Well, per The Blast, Offset’s mother, Latabia Cephus Woodward, explains “It’s still 3 of them. Take is working on his solo album which releases soon after Quavo’s. Each of them are releasing solo projects.”

Although it’s not certain as to why Take couldn’t ditch the studio just for the awards show, at least we know that the solo albums are en route. Additionally, Quavo recently dished on the group’s quietest member stating, “He likes to work and mind his business. He doesn’t like to be involved in a lot of things, he just likes to make good music for the people. #Socialites, are you ready for the new solo projects?
