Piers Morgan has hit back at Holly Willoughby on Twitter by correcting her grammar, following her dig at him on Good Morning Britain earlier this week.
In case you missed it, Holly jokingly hit out at Piers live on air during her appearance on the ITV show on Monday (14 May), telling his co-host Susanna Reid that she felt ‘sorry’ for her having to work with the 53-year-old every day.
And it seems as if Piers hasn’t quite let it go, after he took the opportunity to mock Holly’s grammar on social media yesterday (15 May).
After the GMB presenter tweeted to say that Monday’s show had proven a huge hit, with the third highest ratings in its history, Holly cheekily replied, telling him, ‘Your [sic] welcome’ followed by a winking emoji.
But Piers couldn’t resist having a little dig back…
‘It’s “you’re”,’ he replied bluntly, sparking a flurry of disapproving replies from his 6.5 million followers.
‘How could you do that to Holly!?’ wrote one user, while another added: ‘Oh no, you didn’t just do that to @hollywills did you!’
We guess Piers has learned his lesson now: never mess with Holly Willoughby and her fans.
